Orca II receives equipment refit

Over several years, the electronic equipment needed to carry out marine survey work at the cutting edge of available technology has accumulated in the wheel house and forecastle in an ad-hoc fashion.  With wiring diagrams and soldering iron in hand, Matt Edmunds set about re-organising the equipment into a more permanently mounted, more integrated, more ergonomic package.  New computing power and roof mounted, drop-down monitors completed the eletrical transformation. The new skipper's chair was a nice finishing touch.  A new era of efficient and comfortable boat based data gathering has begun.
