Fathom Pacific and Australian Marine Ecology excitedly announce a new collaboration, bringing together over 35 years of combined experience to marine and freshwater consulting and research. The collaboration will involve working on projects, both in Australia and overseas, in a range of sectors including resource management, mining, oil-and-gas, ports, desalination and renewable energies. We believe our similar ethical values, complementary skills and knowledge, as well as the ability to share resources, will enable us to have greater flexibility in the projects we work on, bolstering the strength of both companies for the future.

AUV Phoenix Takes Flight

Australian Marine Ecology has recently commissioned our new upgraded Iver2-580 autonomous underwater vehicle, AUV Phoenix. This unit is a considerable advancement on our previous AUV.

AME Employee to Join Antarctic Whale Voyage

Australian Marine Ecology’s Senior Technical Officer, David Donnelly has been selected by the Australian Marine Mammal Centre as a coxswain and observer for the 2013 Antarctic Blue Whale Expedition.



Australian Marine Ecology staff members Dr Matt Edmunds and Mr David Donnelly along with collaborator Mr Adrian Flynn recently attended the combined Australian Marine Science Association and New Zealand Marine Science Society Conference held in Hobart in July.
